Carpet Installers

When trying to find a carpet installer, it is important to first decide at what level of quality you are expecting your finished carpet installation to be.  Let me frame this another way.  If you were looking to get a haircut, would you expect every stylist to cut your hair the same?  No, some would have better tools, more experience, a better attitude, etc., than others.  It is the same way with carpet installers.  Some are only qualified to install very simple and basic carpet, using rudimentary equipment.  Some have invested more in their tools and have better knowledge, such as how to make seams more invisible than other installers.

The price you pay will be contingent upon these guidelines.  Don't get fooled into thinking you can pay $2.00 per yard to get expensive berbers and other types of expensive carpet installed.  At that price point, you are more likely paying for a very basic installation, using carpet that is apartment grade or near that level, and installation materials at the cheapest level as well.

When we are installing carpet, we first approach the installation from a high quality angle.  The prices we initially quote include using 6" seam tape and not 3" seam tape.  This measure prevents "peaking" of the seams.  Most installers do not do this!  We also use "ventilated seam weights," and not steel toolbox trays.  Again, most installers do not have this equipment.  Our installations  use a power stretcher, which is considerably different than simply using a knee kicker alone.  We haul away the old carpet and padding, and vacuum thoroughly after the installation.

If your installation is one where saving money is the most important aspect, we can tailor different installation approaches too.  Home flipping, or investor properties sometimes don't require the extra care that goes into one that a primary residence requires.  Money can be trimmed in various places, yet still allow a quality and presentable installation.
