Arizona Home Floors can provide you with a DustRam® System Floor Demolition Consultation as explained on our Business Model page.
As of Monday, January 7, 2019, estimates are on a case by case basis. Being a small business, Arizona Home Floors cannot measure every flooring demolition project and in most cases, an estimate is not necessary if the project is relatively standard.
99% of demolition projects are written up with minimum square footage for demolition based on measurements provided by a homeowner, the homeowner’s contractor, or a number that is in the range of both.
With the advent of the internet and websites like Zillow and Redfin, photos are available online for most homes and if not, pictures can be texted or emailed for our free phone consultation.
You have already decided the time has come to demolish that outdated flooring. Now is the time to start thinking about your floor remodeling project – what kind of new flooring, where to buy it, who to install it, and how much do you need? For some people, this is a difficult process to begin because there are many unknowns.
Choosing the best floor materials, hiring the right installer, when to do the project, etc. Making the right decision can be the difference between a sound investment and a very expensive mistake.
We will be pleased to assist you with your decision making by providing you with our years of expertise in flooring installation and proper floor preparation, extremely accurate measurements, and an estimate for dust free tile demolition necessary to receive your new floor covering.
We welcome you to call us at (480) 659-3199 or contact us via email to discuss your project.
We will ask you some basic questions and answer any that you have, then if you would like us to provide consultation, we will schedule a day and time to meet with you at your home. We take detailed measurements and determine what other factors might affect the cost of your tile demolition or installation.
At your consultation, we spend as much time as it takes to get to know you, hear your ideas and concerns, and what your expectations are. A consultation usually takes around 1-2 hours or even longer if the project is unusually complex.
While at a consultation, we explain everything about our company, the DustRam® System Equipment, and processes.
This also includes the topic of proper surface preparation, which is a subject both flooring retailers and installers may avoid.
If you cannot see what is under your floor covering now, the salesman at the store or installer on the phone cannot see it either. Even if your floors are measured in advance, some homes, both newer and older, have other layers of flooring under the top layer which is not known until at the time of removal.
Their fear of losing the sale, coupled with their lack of knowledge and expertise, often leaves this important subject out of the discussion. The simple fact is that flooring or coatings usually fail from lack of surface preparation and in some cases, custom ordered flooring like hardwood cannot be installed without proper preparation because the floor is not flat enough to meet the Manufacturer’s specifications. You could spend thousands of dollars on non-returnable flooring covering and then find out grinding or leveling of your subfloor will cost even more.
At Arizona Home Floors, we want you to know all the facts and what your options are upfront so you can make the best decisions for your home and your budget. Please feel free to take our measurements with you when selecting your flooring to ensure the amount you buy is not over-inflated.
At the end of the consultation, we will explain in detail what might be involved with your demolition project, and provide you with a comprehensive estimate for your project along with our recommendations.
This can be emailed to you, as well as anyone you wish to share it with such as your General Contractor or Designer. We charge a fee of $500.00 for an Estimate/Consultation (full amount of fee applied to your project if you choose to hire us, and is available ONLY in the metro Phoenix areas, not Tucson).
After more than 40 years in the floor covering business, we have seen amazing floors and costly projects that went wrong and could have been prevented. We don’t want the latter to happen to you.
