As you saw in the video above, saltillo flooring does not come up in nice big squares, it’s made from clay, it’s soft, and soft materials shatter when they are hit with a chipping hammer.  Normally saltillo removal along with the floor grinding afterwards creates huge amounts of silica dust, which homeowners and contractors know is dangerous to them.

Here is the final step of the removal of the saltillo thinset, as you can see, we grind large amounts of this dust free with our custom made SurfRam attachments, manufactured by DustRam.
